NIPPERS IS OUR LITTLE XRACE, JUST FOR THE LITTLE ONES.
WHAT IS NIPPERS?
The Nippers race is all about making sure that younger siblings and keen youngsters don't miss out. It is a mini version of an XRACE - the Nippers run around a short course that is located at the main XRACE Start/Finish area and complete several challenges with their parent/grandparent/trusted friend. The Nippers complete challenges such as face-painting, "horsey" rides, dancing the chicken dance and balancing a hacky sack on their heads. Nippers are the curtain raiser at every XRACE.
INFORMATION FOR YOUR NIPPER RACE
Mum and Dad, you can easily complete the Nippers course with your Nipper and also compete in the main XRACE. After Nippers, you can head to the XRACE start line with your older child. Please note we do not have any childcare facilities for looking after Nippers. Nippers start and finish before the main XRACE, unless otherwise specified on your race week update. A lap around the Nippers course takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. The Nippers course is never more than several hundred metres. Nippers are not timed.
caregiver must race with their Nipper. Often a grandparent or older sibling joins their Nipper. The caregiver does not need to register and will not be given a shirt.
Nippers need to be registered as well - either online ahead of the race day or on race day
Nippers is for kids that are six years old and younger. There is no lower age limit for Nippers (although typically Nippers are at least 3 years old). You will be with your Nipper the whole way.
Absolutely. If you have two Nippers or more, feel free to enter them as well.
